We exist to introduce people to the love of Christ so they may experience Salvation, to encourage the practice of Spiritual Disciplines, to provide opportunities to Serve, to challenge every member to be consistent in make Sacrifices, and to honor God through Submission to His will.
Beautification Ministry Mission Statement
The Beautification Ministry’s mission is to first try to always keep a Godlike spirit in whatever undertakings we are presented to fulfill."For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." ( Ephesians 6:12)
Deacon Ministry Mission Statement
It is the mission of the Deacon Ministry of Greater Salem Baptist Church to be model Servants for the body of Christ and the community, (1 Thessalonians 1:7 NIV). This Ministry will exhibit personal and public morality at all times, (1 Timothy 3:8 KJV). As Deacons who are concerned for others, we will look for and be sensitive to appropriate opportunities to witness to Non-Christians. Through the Deacons Congregational Care Ministry, we will be able to effectively reach “One heart at a time, One family at a time” ,(Matthew 28:18-20 NLT). It is the desire of this Ministry to model Christian Leadership in every area of this Ministry (1 Corinthians 15:58 KJV).
Deaconess Ministry Mission Statement
The Mission of the Deaconess Ministry of Greater Salem Baptist Church is primarily to live and teach in accordance to the scriptures in (Titus 2:3-5). Also, by the aid of the Holy Spirit, to enrich the lives of Greater Salem Baptist Church members and the community through training, prayer, and sympathetic support; sustaining the ordinances, and preparing the elements of Holy Communion and Baptism; supporting the Pastor and Deacons, and witnessing to everyone about the saving grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Discipleship Edification Ministry Mission Statement
To educate and provide resources for biblical learning and teaching for all age groups in the church.
Evangelism Ministry Mission Statement
The first step for all Evangelism Ministry members, is to be sure of his/her own salvation, (1 John 5:11-13 KJV). Second, it is our mission to be obedient to the Great Commission, (Matthew 28:19-20 KJV). Witnessing to family, friends, strangers, and all who are willing to give ear to the gospel. Third, through the power of the Holy Spirit we will make disciples for Jesus Christ, one heart at a time, one family at a time. “Teach these new disciples to obey all commands I have given you and be sure of this, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:20 NLT)
Good Newsletter Ministry
The vision of the Good News Letter Ministry is to communicate information, which helps lead others to Christ and demonstrates how the lives of believers are enhanced by their life in Christ.
Greeter’s Mission Statement
To set the atmosphere for worship and to help worshipers enter God’s house with calm, prayerful minds and hearts. (John 4:23-24)
Jail Ministry Mission Statement
We, the Outreach Jail Ministry Team, exist to reach out and bring the message of Salvation to those incarcerated and to honor God through submission to His will. “I was in prison and ye came to visit me." (Matthew 25:36)
Kitchen Ministry Mission Statement
Our mission is to minister to bereaved families of GSBC by preparing and serving meals as servants of Christ and doing the will God from the heart. “With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men” (Ephesians 6:6-7). It is also our mission to be ready at all times to serve the people of God one heart at a time, one family at a time.

Men’s Ministry Mission Statement
Meet men where they are, create a vehicle to help change a negative and immoral lifestyle in family homes. Not to be judgmental but change some of the ways we have been taught to think. Giving people hope in living a “GODLY” life. Bringing structure and moral values back into families.
Music Ministry Mission Statement
It is the purpose of this ministry to bring glory and honor to our exalted Lord Jesus Christ through sacred and worshipful music and testimony. “Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.” (Psalm 105:2)
Nurses Ministry Mission Statement
Our mission is to assist our Pastor and other visiting ministers before and during Sunday Service as well as to help the congregation with any minor medical needs during service.
Senior Ushers Mission Statement
We exist to introduce people to the love of Christ so they may experience Salvation, to provide opportunities to serve, to challenge every member to be consistent in making sacrifices, and to honor God through submission to His will.
Special Events Mission Statement
Our mission is to organize annual events (Anniversaries, Special Days and Church Picnic). These special events are established to bring glory and honor to God.
Transportation Ministry Mission Statement
The Transportation Ministry works in a variety of ways to attend to the transportation needs of the church and the congregation. This includes, but not limited to transporting the members of our various ministries to and from events, special outing, and trips. “And you saw in the wilderness how the Lord your God carried you as a man carried his son along the way you traveled until you reached his place.” (Deuteronomy 1:31)
Unity in the Community Ministry
Our Mission Statement: We demonstrate ACTION! We reach out and try to meet the needs of men, women, boys and girls not only in our nearby community, but to the homeless areas as well. Our goal is making a difference in the lives of others. “Have Unity Of Spirit, Love For One Another, A Tender Heart and A Humble Mind.” (1 Peter 3:8)
Women’s Ministry Mission Statement
We exist to minister to the needs of women, to lead them to develop an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, to grow into loving leaders, mothers, and wives, and to realize the importance of seeking Him with results of becoming a disciple of Jesus Christ, making sacrifices as we grow in the image of Christ in Whom we adore. WE are one in Christ Jesus and we will treat each other with love along with encouraging and building each other up on this Christian journey for the glory of our Savior and Lord. “Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised.” (Proverbs 31:30 NLT)
Youth and Family Ministry Mission Statement
To enable our youth to be effective in witnessing and spreading the good news of Jesus the Christ to their family, friends and community.

Be with me Lord as I greet in thy name. May thy spirit of wisdom and grace be upon me, as I gratefully serve in thy house of prayer. Amen
